Cranberry Sauce

So what is cranberry sauce good for anyway?? I know it is good with turkey but buying a whole can of it and using 3 spoonfulls just doesn't seem very cost effective. There must be some other use for it. Every time i clean out my fridge i come across this container of cranberry sauce and i always put it back in there. I haven't yet opened it to see if it is good or not but how could it go bad??? it is like jello or jam i am sure it will be good for months. Then what am i supposed to use it for??

We made a LOT of cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving and had tons left over. I bought another turkey and we had it a few weeks ago and barely made a dent in the cranberry sauce. So I finally threw the rest away yesterday. Mostly I'm just glad to have the bowl it was in back. :)

I really don't know either... except recently I tried a pork roast recipe off of allrecipes.com that used cranberry sauce in the mix/marinade... and it was pretty good and would have been great if I had put less onion in...

Can't help you there. That's why we always make a cranberry sauce that is more like a fruit salad. Even then we make a very small batch because I hate fruit and meat together. (Hawaiian pizza? YUCK!)

Fingerpainting. That is the one and only thing it's good for.

Your sibs eat it on sandwiches. Abi and Ted both use it as a condiment. Sliced turkey and cranberry sauce sandwiches. I'm not sure how it tastes. I wasn't that brave.
I like mine on mashed potatoes, or as a dip for sweet potato fries.
